Aurus is out today. It's a Solana wallet, self-custodial, and it's built around the thirty seconds when you're actually trading instead of the rest of the day when you're not.

That sounds like a small distinction. It changed every screen.

The wallet became the slow part

Somewhere along the way wallets turned into onboarding funnels. Great for a first-timer's first swap. Not great for the person doing their fortieth swap this week. Confirmations stacked up, charts fell behind, and the fee turned into a percentage that nobody printed anywhere.

So traders left. Not the wallet, just the trading. The wallet became the place you hold things and a bot became the place you trade, and the bot has your keys. That's the deal everyone quietly took.

We took it too, for a while. Then we got tired of it.

The trade goes through

Most wallets get one quote, send it once, and hope. Aurus prices every swap across five sources and picks the best, then keeps working on it until Solana answers. If the price really moves, it stops and asks you instead of quietly taking a worse fill.

And when it's done, the success screen shows what actually landed in your wallet, read from the chain. Not the quote.

What the fee actually is

0.001 SOL per swap, capped. On a tiny swap it's 0.1% of the trade, which is less. On anything bigger than a couple hundred dollars it's 0.001 SOL, and it stays 0.001 SOL whether the swap is $500 or $500,000.

For comparison, the wallets most people use take 0.85% of every trade, some 0.95%. For an average active trader that works out to around $28,400 a year. Most people have never seen that number because nobody sends the invoice. We built the fee comparison so you can pull it for your own wallet.

Knowing while it's still happening

The other thing wallets do is nothing. You open it, you see a number, you close it. If something you hold ran 4x and came back down while you were at dinner, the wallet knew and didn't say.

Aurus watches your positions and tells you when they move, with how far you are from your average entry and what it's worth right now. The alert is the reason the app is in your pocket instead of on a tab you check twice a day.

This is the part of the beta that got screenshotted. Not the fee.

The terminal is in the wallet

Someone drops a contract address in a group chat. What happens next is usually copy, switch apps, paste, wait for a chart to load, and arrive late.

In Aurus the feed is on the first tab. New, graduating, and graduated tokens, with the rugged and drained ones filtered out before you ever see them. Live chart on the token, quick buy with your presets, and the transaction starts building while your thumb is still on the swipe. By the time you let go it's already on its way.

It's the bot workflow without giving anyone your keys.

Smaller things, fixed

  • Fees. Run out of SOL on one wallet mid-trade and another wallet you own in the app can pay the network fee, right there, without moving funds first.
  • Seed phrases. Every profile and every wallet under it, plus watch-only addresses, in one app with one total.
  • Charts. Live pricing from our own data, so it keeps moving while the trade does.
  • Sending. Your history with each address reads like a chat, so "have I paid this wallet before?" is answered before you type an amount.

Your keys stay on your phone

Self-custodial, properly. Keys are generated on the device and never leave it. There's no account holding your funds, nothing on our side to freeze, and nothing we could hand over if asked. We can't access your funds, and we'd like to keep it that way. Ledger is supported if you want the keys off the phone entirely.

We're the team behind atlas3. Five years on Solana, 9,000+ communities, 9.5M+ entries through our tools. This isn't our first launch on this chain, and we've watched enough of them to know what breaks.

From here

Aurus is on iOS and Android now. Rewards Season 1 starts with launch, and anyone who installs in the first week keeps a 1.5x multiplier for the season.

The beta was built on people telling us what was slow. That doesn't stop now. If a screen makes you wait, or the app told you something after it mattered, say so.
